As a student sometime we feel so bored and lazy if we are getting near with end semester’s exam. I must confess I am a lazy one too. Well talking about study and education system, I wonder if there is an optimal and efficient study or educational method for us where we (students) can study our lessons but we never felt like it’s a torture.

Basic Facts about Fishing Gear

Posted by admin on Mar.20, 2009, under Travel and Vacations No Comments

In fishing, it is very important to an angler’s success that he starts with the proper equipment. He may purchase or own the finest equipment in the world, but when it is assembled and put into use, it may prove to be a very decided handicap. To guard against this, it is important that the individual items of tackle be properly balanced one with the other. Unbalanced equipment has been responsible for more difficulties and failures of beginners than any other single factor.

Fishing Rod
To fish with a good rod is to really enjoy fishing. It is much easier to learn with a good rod than with one of an inferior quality. This is no commercial plug to encourage the sale of expensive rods, but just a word of warning to prevent any possible or unnecessary discouragement because of using a rod that would be decided handicap to a competent caster.

Fishing Lines
This item of fishing gear must be selected with some careful considerations if anglers are expecting to enjoy fishing or casting. This is because the size and weight of fishing lines made by various manufacturers are not entirely uniform, that is, the diameter of the line by one manufacturer may be slightly larger or smaller than a line by another manufacturer even though both bear the same size marking.

The Leader
The leader is also a very important item, and unless it is selected with care and consideration in comparison with the size of the line, the caster will have trouble in making it extend straight out from the line when casting. The chief function of the leader is to serve as an invisible connection between the line and the lure.

Fishing Flies or Lures
The flies may range in size, from the tiniest used, which might be number 18 or 20, up to flies tied on number-2 hooks or larger. The heavier flies or lures create; more wind is needed. It also requires the use of heavier equipment or more power on the part of the caster during the back cast and forward cast.

Reels
The reel may be automatic or single action, but in any event, it should be larger enough to hold the usual 30 yards of fishing line without crowding it on the reel spool. The reel should weigh from 1 ¼ to 1 ½ as much as the bare rod. The reel itself is of no specific use in casting or fishing except as a storage place for the line.

Consequently, the entire equipment should always be in good condition. Other wise, achieving success in fishing is impossible.

camping

Are you looking for something to do this summer, spring, or even fall? Whether you are looking to do so something independently, with your family, or with your friends, have you ever though about going camping? If you have yet to examine camping, you may want to think about it, as camping is often referred to as a fun and exciting pastime.

Although it is nice to hear that camping is a fun way to spend some free time that you may have, you may be wondering if you should really go camping. In all honesty, you will find that it depends. While individuals from all walks of life enjoy camping, camping isn’t always for everyone. If you would like to know whether you should go camping or at least think about it a little bit more, you will want to continue reading on.

One of the many signs that you should think about going camping is if you love spending time outdoors. Whether you just like sitting out on your porch, going swimming, or playing sports outdoors, there is a good chance that you like camping. Camping is based on the doors. You will likely find yourself sleeping outside, eating outside, and playing outside. For that reason, if you have a love for the outdoors, a camping trip is something that you may want to examine.

If you are looking for a change, you may want to think about going camping. If you are wondering if you should go camping, there is a good chance that you have never gone camping before. Unfortunately, when many people take a short trip or a full fledged vacation, many end up staying on the “safe side.” While it is more than possible to do this, you may want to think about trying something new, like camping.

Another sign that you may want to think about going camping is if you are on a budget. Camping is nice is because it is a relatively affordable activity. When it comes to camping, many campers choose to camp in parks or other public campground areas. Many of these camping establishments will charge you a small admission fee or a small camping fee, but you will find that the cost is significantly lower than the cost of an amusement park or airfare for a long trip. It is also important to mention that you can get a lot of your camping supplies, like your food, for very cheap prices as well.

Also, what is nice about going camping is that you will find that you have a number of different options. For instance, you will find that you can choose to camp in a traditional tent or an RV. No matter where you are looking to camp, you should be able to find a number of campground parks to choose from. If you carefully choose your campground park, you may even be able to handpick your own camping spot!

Why does People Loves Fishing

Posted by admin on Feb.22, 2009, under Life, Travel and Vacations No Comments

love-fishing

I love the peace and quiet on most trips.Imagine the still water at your feet, not a ripple on it. The fog is just thick enough so the trees disappear in the distance, and everything around you looks soft. A splash breaks the calm, letting you know there is a fish feeding out there. You are totally alone with your thoughts, almost as if you were floating in an isolation tank. The challenge of outsmarting your quarry is part of it. Trying to make a fish think your lure of plastic and hair is its food is not easy. Figuring out where the fish is and why it is there is another part of the challenge. And learning enough about them to consistently catch fish is a challenge most of us don’t overcome.

The pull of the fish when you do hook one and the efforts to land it without losing it are part of the fun. Struggling with a fish on a rod and reel is almost a primal need, and all your technology often does not help you win the battle. Good fresh food is a reason many people fish, and getting your own food is another basic need that fishing provides.

Competition has become a big part of fishing, and I like tournaments, where a group of people go out and try to outsmart the fish. At the end of the day, you get to compare how well you did. Bragging rights are nice when you win, but you try to listen and learn from the winner when you are not on top.

For many years I had an irresistible desire to go fishing. I could not wait to get on the water and try to pit my skills against those of the fish. I was not happy except when fishing. As I get older, I still enjoy the fishing and all the things mentioned here, but that strong urge is no longer there. I still go every chance I get, but that craving is not as strong. Sometimes I miss it.

Buying Watercolor Paintings

Posted by admin on Feb.12, 2009, under General No Comments

I’ve been buying watercolor paintings for decorating jobs. I’ve found some really nice pieces on eBay. I recently bought a watercolor painting by an artist named Y. Gianni. The painting was produced in 1890 and depicted an Italian village. It was very vivid and pleasing to look at. I was trying to find just the right watercolor painting for a client when I came across one by an artist named William B. Gillette. The colors were pastel, ranging from soft greens, browns, blues, purples and peach. The scene was that of a pebble beach and crashing waves. The hills on one side gave the beach a feeling of privacy. It really spoke to me and my client loved it.

There was a cabin that I was decorating for a discerning client that needed one more piece of art to complete the look I was going for. I found a wonderful watercolor painting that fit just right. It had a lot of mossy green colors and there was a lake with a lake house. The artist turned out to be Charles Dickens Wader. He is a well known artist from New York.

I have a client that collects art from Romeo Tabuena. I was fortunate to find two watercolors that the owners had purchased directly from Tabuena in the fifties when they lived in San Miguel. The owner settled with me for an even thousand dollars. My client was thrilled.

A lawyer friend of mine hired me to redecorate his office. I had a lot of fun putting in things that reflected his interests and tastes. He loves polo and I found a wonderful watercolor painting of two polo players on horses. My friend liked the paintings and they have become a conversation piece in the new office.

My friend’s dad liked the office I decorated so much that he commissioned me to redecorate his office. He is a hunter and I found a really nice watercolor painting of several mallard ducks flying above a marsh. The painting was done by Jim Killen and he has painted for Ducks Unlimited. His work is well known and respected. My friend’s father really liked the find and proudly hung it in his reception area.

I was really unsure where I was going to find suitable art for the program director’s office at a local radio station. When I went to visit with him for a consultation, his office was absolutely stark. I like watercolor paintings and that is my first choice for buying art. I found a fantastic watercolor painting of Bob Marley surrounded by sunflowers. It was awesome and perfect for this job.

There is a musician that I was working for a couple of years ago that wanted their studio decorated with paintings from the artist Raoul Dufy. Raoul Dufy made a whole series of paintings called Hommage to Mozart. I was able to purchase three watercolor paintings in this series. I have always been on the lookout for more paintings to purchase for this client.

A friend of mine asked me to find a watercolor painting to give to her mother. I found one by Henry H. Parker that was of cattle in landscape. The frame was what caught my eye at first because it is heavy gilt. It would never hang in my house, but it looked great at my friend’s mother’s house.
